I make stories that speakin photos, in film.
I find stories — on the street, across a documentary series, inside a brand that hasn't found its voice yet. The medium changes — the subject doesn't.
#SpreadingSmiles
A street portrait series. I photograph someone on a Karachi footpath, get the picture printed, and go back to hand it over. Most people have never owned a good photograph of themselves.
The photograph isn't the work. Giving it back is.
It started as a habit and became the thing I'm known for. No permission forms, no styling, no captions explaining who they are. A print, a thank you, and they walk on.
Series
Episodic work made in Karachi, in Urdu. Open any series to see the episodes.Episode 02 in production.
Photography
Free to use, on Pexels. A lot of what people see of Karachi online started as a file on my drive. The day job
Seven years of shipping software is why my sets run on time.I'm a Software Project Manager at UHF Solutions, a software house in Karachi. I run delivery across web and mobile builds — scoping, planning, keeping teams and clients pointed at the same thing.
It's the same job as producing, with different vocabulary. Scope becomes a shot list. A sprint becomes a shoot day. Both fail the same way: unclear scope and no one owning the decision.
